Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) is the study of environmental and occupational-related injury or illness. Dr. Fletcher has constantly innovated and added service lines to allow patients to receive global treatment from all providers associated with their care under SafeWorks’ team by creating what is now known as the 217 Medical Campus, encompassing physicians from a variety of different disciplines.

- In 2011, Dr. Fletcher partnered with AHCS to offer physician dispensing, a largely beneficial and tremendously valued patient convenience, especially considering the number of patients who are without reliable transportation.
- Also, in 2011, Dr. Fletcher launched a physical therapy department, complete with state-of-the-art equipment, such as a Hydro-Track Water Therapy Tank and Alter-G Anti-Gravity Treadmill, whose success was so prolific that ATI purchased the department from him, along with Dr. Fletcher’s Return-to-Work Center, in 2016. ATI continues to operate the physical therapy department as part of the SafeWorks facility.
- Dr. Fletcher has built symbiotic relationships with countless ancillary physicians, many of whom travel from their respective practices all over Illinois to see patients at SafeWorks, again for the benefit and convenience of the patient.
- Dr. Fletcher recently opened 217 Immediate Care, offering expanded hours and providing for non-workers’-compensation patients to be seen for urgent-care-based illnesses and injuries.
